Cardiac & Trauma Workshops

These workshops aim to provide the nurse or other health professionals working within the medical industry, with the knowledge and skill to help deal with the management of a casualty experiencing a cardiac or trauma related incident.

The course consists of a theory presentation, demonstration of procedures, and practice scenarios performed by the participants.

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Advanced Airway Management (Laryngeal Mask and Intubation)
• Defibrillation
• Cannulation
• Cardiac Arrhythmias & Recognition
• Primary & Secondary Survey
• Head Injury
• Spinal Immobilisation Techniques

Duration
Determined by number of topics. Usually minimum of 4 hours.

Assessment
As this is a workshop session there is no formal assessment.

Not required
